Description
Manhattan Pepperbox, .31 cal. percussion revolver. NSN. Circa 1850's in Norwich, Conn. Good condition. 3 1/2" barrels are marked "Cast Steel" and "New York" and have some corrosion marks. Six-shot capacity. Patina on all metal parts. Scroll engraved receiver. Marked on side of hammer: "Manhattan F.A. Mfg. Co., New York". Double action only. Does not always cock and index when trigger is pulled. Egg butt smooth walnut grips are very good. Really cool little gun that was favored by river gamblers and "sportin' ladies". Neat! Pretty much a curio that you could put in a shaddowbox of the pre-Civil War era. Antique. Can ship right to your doorstep.
