U.S. Stevens "Trench Gun" Model 520-30, 12 ga. pump action military shotgun. Serial #64801. Vietnam era military "trench gun" with 20" barrel fitted with heat shield and bayonet lug. This specimen is in very good+++ condition with 95% blue - only wear is on the pump action parts. Correctly marked with "U.S." on left side of receiver and two "Flaming Bombs" - one of left side of receiver forward and one on right side of barrel. Tang safety. Wood is very good with some marks as expected. Sling swivels. This gun came from the Ohio National Guard at Fort Hayes in Columbus in 1976 when they started to abandon the post - Ohio Guardsmen could buy one for $40. The guns were used for guard duty and the former owner remembered getting some out of the arsenal and being armed with them when the Guard was flown to the Sandusky nucleur power plant in the 1970's when it was reported that a massive demonstration was to take place there. Crack in left side of forearm. Nice original piece - these are highly collectible! Not often seen. NOTE: We have additional photos of this Trench Gun - if interested E-Mail scott@thegunrunner.com and request "Lot #13 extra photos".
